The United Kingdom has a long tradition and worldwide reputation for being at the forefront of international higher education, and is a top destination for internationally mobile students.
A bachelor’s degree in the UK is normally completed in 3 years, which is less time than the equivalent degrees in the USA and universities in mainland China. The shorter period of study is partly due to the specialized nature of UK university courses, which enables students to focus on their area of interest from Year 1.
UK universities are highly committed to developing the employability of their students, and so links with business and opportunities for work placements are frequently incorporated into university programs in the UK. UK universities create an enterprising ‘can do’ culture which has the potential to improve the career outcomes and income status of their students.
The UK offers a safe English speaking environment in which young adults can grow and mature as individuals. Through the many opportunities to study, work and play and travel, the UK provides an unbeatable experience for Higher Education.
It takes 13 years to complete one’s basic education in the UK, which is 1 year less than in China. For this reason, there is a gap between both curriculums. Chinese students need a transition course to bridge the gap.
The Cambridge curriculum, including IGCSE and A-levels, provides a vital link to enable Chinese students to transition from the Chinese education system to the international university level study. More importantly, our program also serves as a strong evidence of the academic competence and potential in their admission to top universities in the UK.
After completing A-levels exams with satisfactory results, students can apply for the undergraduate courses. It will save around 300,000 RMB for the parents and also save one year for student.
